Conor Casey // Executive Director

Conor Owen Casey has over a decade of experience as a campaign manager, organizer, fundraiser and advocate.

Growing up between Ireland and the United States he developed a deep appreciation for worker's rights and political activism at an early age. Conor received his B.A. in Media Arts at Emerson College in Boston and completed his M.A. in Communications at Dublin City University.

After returning to the States, Conor worked in the press office of Senator Edward Kennedy prior to accepting a position with the Vermont State Employees' Association. As Political Director, Conor saw VSEA through some of its most difficult years during the recession and managed to pass some of the strongest whistleblower protection and anti-privatization laws in the country.

He has worked on countless campaigns on every level and most recently served as Political Coordinator for the Connecticut Education Association, the largest union in the state, representing over 43,000 classroom teachers.

He has twice been elected Vermont Justice of the Peace and has served on the executive and state committees of the Vermont Democratic Party.

In 2013, Conor was honored by the Irish Echo as one of the top 100 Irish in the labor movement to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the Dublin Lockouts.

Conor lives in Montpelier with his lovely wife, Pixy and ferocious greyhound, Liffey.
